Today is Adilah’s birthday (the one in my flat). The whole flat (and a bit) had decided earlier on in the week that we were all going to go out and celebrate for our little princess since tomorrow is a holiday anyway (that’s why I didn’t go to the sports rec to ‘check out’ the players). The original plan was to go to Chaddy for dinner and a movie, but when I came home from office duty at MUISS I was informed that we were going to the city instead… for dinner and dessert!!! Woot!
As we were all being girls (yes, even Derek o.o”) about getting ready and dressing to fit the weather (god was it cold =.=”), departure times got bumped from 6+pm to 7ish. Slunk down to Flinders in a hurry… and then started touring the shops o.o Well, you guys all know how girls shop. It’s [-in one shop-, -out the other-] all the time while we ‘ooh‘ed and ‘aah‘ed over this and that.
Time played its nefarious game with us, and before we realised it the clock was ticking past 9pm. OH NO!!! Hungry hungry hungry….
Crashed into a cutesy little Japanese place that Amanda’s sis had recommended and waited to be served. Some way along time’s walk, a waitress went past with a tray of tempura and sushi O.o … Amanda and A. Aliah’s eyes followed the tempura… Adilah flashed a glance at the fish slices… and I… I checked out the waitress. ZOMG… (she had nice hair, and the apron looked good on her. So blame me!!!) Derek was… elsewhere sulking because we’d been (I dunno)-ing him… *fizzle*
Skipskipskip past the dinner… (it was good btw; I had ramen, Adilah had sashimi, the others had tempura-dons)… onto dessert =D
Reached Crown’s at maybe 10:15pm… and went to this crazily expensive place to have cake. Derek did his disappearing act again (to our pissed-off-ness), but he made up for it by getting Amanda a really sweet bear-cum-rose ‘I’m sorry’ gift… AWWWWWWW… that was such a difference from his usual jackass attitude… (lol… sorry to criticise your man, Amanda, but your boyfriend is seriously weird at times…) The food was alright, but the decorations took the cake (excuse the pun). Dishes were really good to look at (and the double-choc slice I had wasn’t all that bad either).
Missed the train that we’d wanted to take, so we had to settle for the last one… was afraid that we’d reach our station too late though, so we got off at Caulfield instead via the Frankston line and just managed to catch the midnight bus back to campus… x.x” … (called Gary while waiting at the stop… always safer to call before the birth day itself just so I can actually get through!!)
and that’s it for Friday night ^^ 3As — Amanda, Adilah, and our neighbour Adilah Aliah (aka A. Aliah in my posts); 1R — moi; one D — Derek. Not going into details because… blogs are no place to share girl talk in ^^
