May 5th — In the City

May 5, 2007

YES!! The last installment for Saturday =D I’m all hyped up.

:In the City:

Well, technically I’m going to write from a bit before the city.

In the last blogpost I mentioned that I was walked back, right? So after that I made some dinner (carbonara with chicken pieces) and started to check on MCAC stuff. Ended up discussing certain things with the MCAC gang ^^” wow lol, we’ve been having loads of mass chats lately I notice… (which is good ^^)

Circa 8:30pm, Morgane dropped by to mention that she (and a bottle of Midori) were going to Kash’s place for a pre-clubbing drink or two. I replied that I’d go in a bit (retouching makeup; guilty as charged).

When I arrived I was greeted with the sight of many people whom I did not know. Whoa. Big surprise. I’d thought that this was a SEF-only outing o.o Turns out that Kash invited along a bunch of people from DC… ^^”

Dropped by Hus’s room — now that has some major style o.o His room is waaaaay cool man; a big carpet with a shisha burner in the dead centre; two thai cushion-mats/whateverthatis which respectively took up large portions of right-angled walls on the diagonal-opposite side of the door, big pillows with handwoven covers… and everything was just the right ‘bouncy’/'firm’ness. God I wish I could get some of that stuff… =P

Left at an unidentified hour… comments were that the SEF-ians (i.e. Shuto, Morgane and I) were quiet =.= Hello… we were among strangers there… was kinda interesting listening to those Howitt-ers jabber on, though.

Most of the night after that was spent looking for bars/pubs and drinking. The guys downed quite a few bottles of Carlton (I found out that I definitely prefer wine) and one of them pissed off certain individuals when he spewed (if he did indeed down 8 longnecks as he claimed… well, no wonder then). One of the other guys started to ‘come on’ to me (I maintain that he was just tipsy and being friendly)… offering to buy any drinks that I wanted and playing with my hair o.O lucky I wanted to stay sober, then. That was… not proper code of conduct? (But then again, the guy HAD had quite a bit to drink. And we’d been chatting for quite some time in the bar. >.>” Ever tried having a conversation with more typing than talking to the guys immediately around you? boy that place was noisy >.<)

Other than ‘we visited a shop that the MCACs would recognise en masse’, there shouldn’t be too much more to detail. (xdxdxd)

At 1-ish, after visiting the bottle shop, Morgane and the 3 Jap guys were given a lift by Nori back to SEF (were supposed to go to Kash’s place for more drinking), Shizuka went home herself, and the rest of us took the nightrider from the corner of Flinders back. Shuto and I were down near the front while the rest of the gang went up to the back of the bus. (Meaning we had long, long chats the hour back to Clayton.)

Shuto and I got off at the Normanby stop. Called a few hall friends since it was Saturday night (albeit around 2:45am) and I thought they’d be still up watching soccer… (hoped to visit their rooms XD)… unfortunately that was the night when the play-offs were at 9:30pm. What the…. =.=” So we made the 20-minute walk back while chatting about sports. Shuto is nice ^^ He told me before parting at the stairs that he’d been trying to take the tension off me from the following week — 4 assignments due for bloody sake x.x

The two of us skipped the extra drinking since we were both exhausted by then… I myself was flat out soon after showering, which is not really usual o.o

All in all… I would call it an interesting day.

~~And that should mark the end of my blog for the fifth of May. Thank the lord ^^

May 5th — At Chaddy

May 5, 2007

oops was distracted by Morgane as I was typing this up… sorry to post it up late(r)!!

:At Chaddy: (as a continuation of the last blogpost)

Off with dance class, on with the next event on the schedule.

Reached the bus stop slightly after 1:30pm and thought that I’d missed my bus T.T At this rate, I thought, I’d get there waaaay after the cake was cut. But wait — what was this? The 900 Caulfield bus arrived at 1:45pm… my lifesaver!!! Hopped onto the bus (after changing my sandals and checking my hair/makeup/clothes ala pre-date nervousness that is totally uncalled-for) and rode on until Oakleigh station–where we were DELAYED for 10-15 minutes because the changeover driver was MIA and came in late =.= seriously considered getting on a taxi, but fortunately the driver arrived before my impatience took the better of me ^^

Reached Chaddy later than I wanted to, and rushed to Nando’s after apologetically asking random passers-by and salespeople where the cinema was. Upon reaching, the first people I saw were Noriko and the rest of the MUISS syndicate, so I went over. Most embarrassing moment in that episode was me asking them (after a few seconds of looking around Nando’s) where the birthday boy was — and them pointing to behind me where a group of people in black were seated. OMG… shy lar… lolz. Rushed over ASAP and apologised before giving him a birthday hug. For some reason the weirdoes who were now behind me went “oooooooh…” …which Gary promptly diffused by saying, “she’s my mom!” (which I am =D ) lol….

(for now MUISS people included Gary, Ronald, Serene, Noriko, Stephie, Kawa, Nicole and I)

Since everyone was done eating, little me (who hadn’t had lunch yet, remember?) pulled Serene and Kawa etc along to Trampoline for some gelato… we bought a tub of Hazelnut Roche to share between us (Serene, Kawa and I) while the others looked on with these strange expressions (they thought that one of us were going to consume the whole tub =.=”). After everyone bought what they wanted (Ronny, Ben Mok and Eddie arrived around this hour), we headed off to AMF Bowling…

For some reason or another, we stood around at the foyer for ages o.o I mean… hey, the tub of gelato/ice cream was finished right there!! Doesn’t that indicate anything at all? Ronny dragged Stephie off for lunch since Steph wasn’t going to bowl. Serene disappeared to do some roaming. We continued to wait around. Towards the end of the price-negotiations (or whatever that was going on at the counter), I tip-toed over to the other side of the counters and ordered some nuggets. Gelato wasn’t enough for lunch, it seemed.

As I was waiting for my order to be processed, Jon and Han made their appearances… pretty hard to miss when they were both in white jackets ^_~ Han managed to lure me into going for Nando’s with him (Jon wanted to start with his bowling so he gave lunch a miss). So I ditched the bowling session (wasn’t playing anyway =P) and went for more substantially-filling nutrition than the nuggets (which I left with the bowling teams).

Saw Ronny and Stephie at Nando’s, so we went over to share their table. I ordered a quarter mild with a tropical drink whereas Han got a spicy half set with coke. We spent some time chatting (the other two went for gelati in the meantime and then went off with Serene since ‘the girls wanted to catch the next bus’) about random stuff… and then popped back into AMF, just in time for the 2nd game….

As stated before, I wasn’t planning to bowl… so ‘as usual’ I watched the others, took some photos, and then!!! after the 2nd game ended, Noriko, Ronald and I went for a last-minute tour of Chaddy — at a quarter to 5pm… XD. Was quite warm by then (yeah rare for me, I know) so I took off my overcoat (at long last lolz).

After the ‘grand tour’ of JayJay’s and some other open places, we went back since the 3rd game was more or less played out… apparently Han won that one (‘competition’ between him, Gary, Jon and Will).

Had to catch the 5:58pm bus… while waiting we hung around that mini food court near the cinemas and did more chatting… Noriko and I (part of the May-presents-shopping-team) dragged some people aside to ask about certain present ideas… later we arrived at a decision (finally)… it’s going to be FUN… hahaha….

Caught the bus home in plenty of time since the vehicle was, again, late… Eddie and Han walked me back to the flats, the Maurition sector who live with Ronny and Jon went off the other way, and everyone else not mentioned was still back in Chaddy.

That might be it for this blogpost… see you again in the next one ^^

May 5th — Before Uni

May 5, 2007

A few days ago I looked at my calendar for today and was flabbergasted.

Let’s see.

4 celebrations: First, mom’s birthday. Next, Gary’s birthday. Then, Hannah’s birthday. Finally, Maya’s… anniversary.

2 outings: Gary’s bash at Chaddy, then clubbing night out with Morgane and some other people from MRS.

and… dance class from 12:30-1:30pm. (find out yourself if you want to know what dance it is =.=”)

Seriously… there are just too many events happening in the short, short space of 24 hours T.T so I’ll just section them into different blogposts – Before Uni, At Chaddy, and In the City.

:Before Uni:

So I woke up sometime around 9:30am and took this long, lethargic 20-odd-minute bath trying to wake my head up from yesterday’s outing… and ended up throwing clothes around my room for half an hour trying to match up a decent outfit. Didn’t work, so I took up a manga and flipped through for maybe 45 minutes while giving my subconscious a chance to pick something for me to wear. Didn’t work either >.<

Finally gave up and SOS’ed Noriko for help: *r-ingr-ing* “Hey Noriko… just one word: jeans or skirt?” She laughed and said: “skirt, ‘coz I’m wearing jeans now, yeah?”

O…kay. Should have called her 30 minutes earlier to save me the brainwork. I would have thought that dressing up would take relatively little time after that, but since it was Gary’s birthday… ah, screw it. Blew my hair, rummaged up a new scarf, applied make-up, etc… ended up just grabbing half a sandwich for breakfast since it was already past 12 and I was going to be soooo late for my class.

One fifth of the way to campus, I realised that I’d left Ronny’s charger in another bag back at the flats. G-r-e-a-t. Backtracked, got the charger, and took out my umbrella too since it’d started raining (of all things… x.x).

Was late for class after all.

Well, who would have thought that dressing would take bloody 2 hours?
