More shopping for the presents scheduled for today x.x
Woke up around 10ish and arranged with Sharon to meet up with her in Clayton itself instead of at one of the bus stops. We weren’t going to walk all the way to one of the other’s bus stops when there were perfectly usable 703 stations near our places ^_~ Decided to wag dance class in favour of shopping for Serene’s and Nike’s presents >.< (damn… we were supposed to get CDs today too… and Blessina even called up to ask me where I was after that… x.x sowwie Blessie!!)
Had lunch straightaway upon arriving, though–Ezra apparently was famished and so we bowed in to his wishes. Fried chicken with loads of chips, anybody?
Shopping after that was at a COLES that I’d never been to before… and omg Noriko (yes, she stayed overnight, remember? so naturally she came along with me to Clayton and joined the shopping team…) found this really great idea for birthday cards… or actually, she found a replacement to our original present idea (which was not realised because we couldn’t get anything in the correct colour)~~ Can’t wait to start on preparing it!! Muahahahahaz… baby bibs lol… the others are gonna look soooo cute in them! <3<3<3
While I went for some party stuff, Noriko picked up her woodcraft supplies from a hardware shop. Planks of wood and a hand saw or two; sandpaper and carving knives. Sound cool? Well choosing them out is not as fun as it might seem, believe me =P Especially to two girls who don’t really feel like using them….
After that–we found out that we’d missed the bus. YIKES! Waited for the next one then… but because we had some spare time now, we tripped over to the usual COLES and got the marinating sauces ^_~ Smokey BBQ, Teriyaki, and Honey & Ginger. Excited about the coming BBQ!!!
Persuaded Noriko to stay another night, so she started work on her assignment (i.e. the wood plank and the saw) at the pavilion balcony facing the lake soon after we got back. (I’d forgotten my keys when I left my place so we had to wait for Non to get the extra keys for me T.T)
For my part, I was busy doing the birthday budget and making sure that all expenses were catalouged properly. Called Stephie about some other details, e.g. skewers, lemons, foil, water dispenser… and we came up with this idea of getting Kellie to make dessert since she’s good at cooking and we’d missed out on her jelly during the last birthday steamboat =D so I called Kellie… got her to agree… and yea, tied up my calcutions ^^
After that I started on the Group Assignment for AFC that my group was in charge of… we hadn’t done much the Wednesday before, so I was supposed to compile all the discussed answers and then we’d have a group meeting online at 10pm-midnight. As I completed the first answer, though, the screen blinked up that ‘battery low’ warning o.o I had only 30 minutes or so of power left. Noriko was around done by then, so we left the pavilion and returned to cooking.
Dinner: Part One was Carbonara; while stirring the mixture of pasta and sauce we did some marinating for chicken that I’d bought earlier on in Coles–we were going to have fried chicken with fried rice for Dinner: Part Two. After the carbonara however we had to go up to the halls to pass Noriko’s teammate her saw-ed up project. Upon arrival we started calling up all our friends at the halls, but no one was in =.= Eddie was, however, and we ended up having a drink outside of Roberts before we invited him over for dinner…
And what was dinner? Well, fried chicken and rice as planned, and an additional serving of carbonara since one of the rice batches turned out… interestingly. What else would you use to describe rice with egg, pepper, salt, sweet soy sauce, apple+mango juice, melon vodka cruiser and ketchup in it? XD But yes, it was interesting, and therefore it required that we cook a new batch of rice to consume ourselves — we would bring the interesting rice to MUISS to share around on Monday ^^ Share the love, ne?
During dinner my groupmates called up saying that they couldn’t make the group discussion (which was way cool for me) and we arranged for a meeting tomorrow 2-4pm instead. Yay! So we went up with Eddie to the Halls again to watch EuroTrip (lolz). FUN!!!
The rest of the night was relatively uneventful (thank goodness) even though (or because) my laptop wasn’t here — and therefore my internet and MSN weren’t here (blah). OK I’m a bit disoriented by now so time to stop blabbing…
