Sunday… a day for supposed peace and quiet.
Mother’s Day, too… which is… not out of tune with peace and quiet—I think o.o
Called up mom and had a half-hour gossip/chat session with exclusively her… she shared this funny text message with me that went something like: “Being a mother is being in a full-time, low-paid, under-appreciated job that you have no benefits from and can’t quit. Your employers are demanding, you can’t refuse them anything, they don’t give you any salary but yet you’re expected to meet all their needs, and they complain when you so much as try to take a day off. Moral of the story? Don’t apply for this job.” All while I was listening I was thinking of the inter-MUISS relationships. YIKES.
Went for lunch with Stan and Noriko at around 12noon… directly after breakfast, which was ice-cream on toast with spreads XD (trust me, it’s as delicious as it sounds =D especially with nutella!!!)
After that I mosied over to the Matheson and started typing furiously away at the group presentation that I was supposed to re-organise sentences for… in the midst of it dad called… reminded me to call mom, which I informed him I already did XD then he “passed” me to grandma, who teased me horribly by describing the dimsum lunch that my grandparents and parents were at. Evil, evil grandma!! She tempted me terribly with words like: “Would you like us to keep some for you? Come over and have some food too… don’t starve yourself!!” Grrrrr…. =P
The group discussion stretched from 2-4pm to 2-5pm… which was when the library closed >.< Had nowhere to go (and didn’t even have the opportunity to check my hotmail or MCAC) so I went home… whereupon I received a phonecall from Ronny inviting me to dinner with the others o.o …so I went. Had dinner at Choi Palace where Gary wished me “Happy Mother’s Day”. I kinda suspect that Ronny had had to remind him =P he did the same for Steph though, reminding me to send “Mama” a text message wishing her HMD ^_~ (turns out Nicole had sent him a HMD sms… WOW lol)
After that we did some shopping at Coles before going home… had a great weekend, and didn’t get as many withdrawal symptoms as I’d imagined I might get. Depressed over not having been able to start on Saiunkoku Monogatari, though—I’ve been waiting forever for the weekend just so I could watch it!
But anyway. Done with the blogging for Sunday…
