I skivved another ETC class… but this time, not a lecture but a tute >.< oh god… that’s the second ETC tute I’ve skipped by now…!!!
Anyway, it was because I was doing some work at the lounge… and by the time I was done with it I was already late for class… since I was already tired by then from:
- sleeping at 2-ish,
- my 9am class,
- the surprise 10am 2nd-hour Economics lecture that I took with Jon so that I wouldn’t be beached on Thursday,
- subsequently planning Jon’s birthday bash so that it would be still be before Monday but not stretch people’s finances more than they already have (which Sharon managed to solve for me in quite an ingenious way =D thanks Shaz!!), as well as
- from trying to catch up on my reading list before starting on my due-on-Friday-final-essay, and because
- ETC tutes always put me to sleep,
so I decided to be a bad girl and skip it >.> feeling very guilty about things, but… argh, been stressed out and there was important work to do afterwards >.<
Went out with Benji, Shaz, Noriko and Kawa to Clayton around 6ish to get meats and stuff for Thursday (a very suspicious Serene saw us off, I think?)… we bumped into Louie and Kevin at COLES???! WTH?? We’d just walked into the place and turned left into the veggie section, and who do we see immediately but Louie and then Kevin with a shopping basket? …well, the two aren’t idiots so they knew something was afoot… probably joined all the dots together in a flash but were kind enough not to say anything ^^”
After that Kevin helped us to choose the beef and the lamb for the BBQ… we were so lost doing that… T.T (he was very knowledgeable though? I wonder whether it was from research or actual experience o.o” ‘Tis at times like this that I ask myself again why we didn’t include him immediately in the planning committee =.=)
In the end we got:
- 3 (10drumsticks*1wholechicken) packs
- 1 platter of beef sirloin steaks
- 1 platter of lamb forequarter chops
- 2 boxes of thin sausages
- 3 packets of marshmallows
- fruit punch ingredients
- salad ingredients
Did a lot of personal shopping… most everyone did, I think? We were going to go straight back to my place, but as we stood at the carpark after that, Kevin asked us whether we were going for dinner or going straight home o.O Conferencing and a few minutes later, we reached the unanimous decision to stay for dinner… but what the… Kevin didn’t order or eat in the end… x.x… LOL… food was good though, even if it was the second time in 3 days that I went to Choi’s >.>”
So after dinner (with chatting and laughter and everything inbetween, I think) we dropped off the cargo at the Pavilion (there was no way all of that could possibly fit in my comparatively minisicule communal refridgerator). No one stayed over and I attempted to do some studying… which plan was miserably interrupted by my exhaustion. I was to wake up the next morning with the book, fallen, in my hand and the lights still on. That’s what happens when you study while reclining under covers on your bed!!!
