Mostly because in text, you get to read about what they're thinking, what their involuntary reactions to certain triggers are, what actions they perform, etc, and actually attribute meanings to them since you can take your time to analyse the words. Whereas in film... well, all you do is try to take everything in at one go. Not very helpful to our digestion of the "deeper level of meaning" since by the time you've started to have the space to think on messages of the author a lot of the meaning has gotten side-tracked by the last 30 minutes of fast-paced danger and excitement. I might still watch the sequel though, if anyone has it... I hear it has a cute chick or two o.o LOL. And the American version is so not going to be watched...
